We are always looking for fundraising opportunities – particularly for our Life Changes project, and are very grateful to all those who fundraise on our behalf.
If you, your work place or local community group would consider organising a fund raising activity for us, we would be most grateful. We would be happy to supply information both about the agency and about the Life Changes project specifically. We would also be happy to come and talk about some of our work to any interested groups.
Do contact us at the office or at directors@iomas.im
Free fundraising: There are 2 quick ways of fundraising for us (at no cost to yourself) – both linked to a charity fundraising website where we are listed as “Isle of Man Adoption Service”.
- Instead of using Google or Yahoo as your default search engine, use easysearch.org.uk instead and nominate IOMAS as your chosen charity when you first change your default setting. That way every time you use the search engine, they make a small donation to us from their advertising revenue. No cost to you – small pennies for us – and pennies mount up.
- Do your on line shopping through the website easyfundraising as the gateway to your chosen store.
By registering for free with easyfundraising at: www.easyfundraising.org.uk/iomas and nominating IOMAS as your preferred charity, you can browse through the big retailers and click through to their site to purchase your items. By entering through easyfundraising, you will ensure the agency will get an automatic donation of between 1% and 15% of your item purchase price. You do not pay the donation; the donation is claimed from the major brand themselves.
Similarly, should you have any items you might like to auction on ebay, and would consider donating the money raised to us, then Mission Fish could be your answer.
Mission Fish is a specific company that helps charities to auction items via ebay. This allows the money to be legitimately donated to the charity, maintaining our status as a non profit making member (look out for the ribbon logo). All of the items are listed as being auctioned for charity so bidders know all the money goes to a good cause.
Alternatively we can be chosen by any person selling items on ebay, as a nominated Charity to receive part or all of the profit made from an item sold. To find out how you could nominate our charity to receive some of the money you make whilst selling on ebay click here, and select the 'sell' tab on the window that opens.
